Audio and Video Tape Authentication (verification)

A number of processes can be applied to determine whether or nor a tape has been edited, tampered with, or altered in any way.

Please note that with analogue recordings, more definitive results can be obtained if access to both the original recording, and the original recording device, is available.

Digital recordings can present their own drawbacks for authentication - please contact us for further details.

Preliminary examinations on copies - usually possible, and may give a more cost-effective indication as to whether a full authenticity examination is to be recommended.

*To ensure the security of an original recording and original recording device, we recommend that if these items are to be sent to us they should be sent by courier in tamper-proof exhibit bags.    For high security exhibits, we recommend that the work is done on-site at the client's offices.
