Our Staff
- are headed by AudioLex's Dr Kate Storey-Whyte (IAFPA, IAFL), who with a Master's Degree in scientific method and a PhD in the meaning/sound interface of language, and nearly two decades' experience in the field, is eminently suited to working within the forensic audio and linguistics area. As one of the very few practitioners with experience in both acoustics and language analysis, she maintains a strong programme of research, publications and conference presentation, which ensures that AudioLex remains at the forefront of thinking and research on both the technical, laboratory side and on the forensic, public side, whether within Civil Law, Intelligence or the Criminal Justice System.
Richard Taylor is our Video and Acoustics consultant, and has a background in the film and television post-production industry in London . Beginning as a lecturer in audio engineering, Richard then moved into post-production, as a European-wide Senior Service Engineer for one of the leading audio editing manufacturers. Following this, he went on to become Head of Engineering at two respected post-production houses. Building on the technical accuracy and analysis required in the broadcast industry, together with a long held interest in the forensic aspects of sound and vision, Richard is applying the same high standards in the field of audio and visual forensics.
