Recordings (tapes and discs) which have been physically damaged can often be mended, at least sufficiently to be used as evidence. Damage can occur from heat, moisture, impact, machine malfunction, being chewed up by a dog - many of these potential catastrophes can be overcome. However - we unable to restore tape recordings which have been "recorded over". |
